Well it hasn't been all that long since I started this blog, and already I see the traffic is starting to pick up and I am getting links on search engines for the content here. So how can a blog help your eBay sales? (if you are a seller of course). Well it will take time, but content rich blogs attract people looking for information on certain subjects. They search the internet and come across posts from blogs that are on a topic they are interested in. In some cases it is product related, like First Edition books, or perhaps a certain period of collectible etc. Providing information is an important step in bringing in new buyers. Sometimes people just want to check out what you are selling, sometimes your blog posts show the reader you know your product, and sometimes they have a need for something unusual that you might have.
As your blog grows, the amount of search engine links to your blog grow. It is best to post often and on a wide range of subjects, AND to try to link to other blogs and have them link to you.
Plus its a lot of fun, you get to write about topics you like to.
