The picture here is of a really cute little crib toy bird called a Battat Musical bird that plays music when you pull the loop underneath him. He was made in Canada, and even though he was old, he was new in his box!
Well I listed him for sale on ebay. Someone wrote me, and asked some questions. Turns out, when he had a son, his son had this bird. Now his son's wife was pregnant, and they wanted one for the child to be born! People tend to get nostalgic for the things they remember from years ago. Anything cute, popular, and perhaps even commonplace years ago could be a good eBay item.
Some examples.... Years ago, I believe in the early 80s, Cabbage Patch kids were the rage. The maker was even flying them over on Jumbo jets! Then they died out and noone wanted them. They started selling them again over time, but now those original Cabbage Patches are starting to become hot sellers again.
